Recipe Background

Coastal Alfredo is a creamy, seafood pasta perfect for seaside vibes.
The day I signed the lease for my tiny seaside apartment, I knew I needed a dish that matched the magic of the ocean view. I'd just moved from the bustling city chaos to a quieter, saltier life by the coast. Boxes were still unpacked when I pulled out my trusty pot, eager to whip up something that captured the joy and freshness of coastal living. I always have Old Bay seasoning on hand—it's my fail-safe way to conjure up a sense of summer, no matter the season.
My kitchen window overlooked the marina, where sailboats bobbed on glittering waves. It was the perfect backdrop for testing a recipe like Coastal Alfredo. As the creamy, buttery sauce began to meld with freshly grated parmesan, the room filled with a warmth that felt like home. Stirring in the sweet crabmeat, carefully drained to avoid a soggy dish, was a pivotal moment of transformation.
Sprinkling freshly chopped parsley over the top added a pop of color, mimicking the greenery swaying in the ocean breeze just outside. It was a meal to mark a new beginning, each aromatic swirl of fettuccine a promise of new adventures. Letting the finished dish rest for a few moments allowed the flavors to settle beautifully, and plates of creamy dreaminess were soon devoured. This simple yet celebratory dish is now my go-to offering for quick visits and longer stays, a testament to new beginnings and cherished routines by the sea.
