The Scoop

Apple cake, cinnamon crumble, and caramel decided to form a very convincing fall committee.
This fluffy coffee cake is packed with tender apples and warm cinnamon, topped with a buttery brown sugar crumble, and finished with a drizzle of caramel.
Cozy, generous, and basically designed to make a cup of coffee feel like a proper event.
Hack it:
Use a mix of tart and sweet apples for more flavor and texture.
Add chopped pecans or walnuts to the crumble for extra crunch.
Stir a little vanilla, nutmeg, cardamom, or ginger into the cake batter.
Swap the caramel for dulce de leche or a simple vanilla glaze.
Add raisins, dried cranberries, or chopped dates to the apple layer.
Leftovers:
Warm a slice and top with vanilla ice cream for an instant apple crumble sundae.
Turn cubes into a breakfast parfait with Greek yogurt, apples, and toasted nuts.
Pan-toast slices in butter and serve with maple syrup.
Crumble it over oatmeal or yogurt for an apple-cinnamon crunch topping.
