The Scoop

This is not a dessert; it’s a social event disguised as one!
Dessert Ball shows up to the party rich, creamy, a little chaotic in the best way, and absolutely loaded with chocolate chips and toffee bits. It’s the kind of treat people “just try a bite” of… and then suddenly it’s gone.
No baking, no stress, just full-on crowd-pleasing energy rolled into one dangerously shareable ball. (read: not actually shareable). Every family has that one dessert that somehow ends up becoming “the official problem.” Dessert Ball can and will become yours.
Hack it:
Chill it well so it holds its shape like a dream.
Add a tiny pinch of sea salt to the cheese mixture to bring all the flavors out.
Use cacao nibs instead of toffee bits for an ultra-modern version of the dessert.
Mix some finely chopped pistachios with the pecans to make everyone think this is going viral.
Leftovers:
Crumble and add any leftovers to your classic cookie dough before baking.
Crush any leftovers completely with a handful of graham crackers, add melted butter, and press into a pan to make the most unexpected cheesecake base.
Or simply fold any leftover chunks into your next brownie batter and voila, a new dessert!

  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened

  • 1/4 cup toffee bits

  • Add 3/4 cup of the chocolate chips and 1/3 cup of the toffee bits to the cream cheese mixture and stir well.
  • Cover the bowl and chill the cream cheese mixture for at least 2 hours and up to overnight.
  • Place the cream cheese mixture on plastic wrap and cover, then gently press on the plastic wrap to shape the mixture into a ball.
