The Scoop

The first time I made these Easy Stuffed Pizza Crescents was on a rainy day, the kind where you're stuck indoors and every board game has already run its course. It was a rainy game-day from my early 30s, back when my husband and I were just dating and decided to host an impromptu game night with friends. Seeking snack inspiration, I recalled the packs of crescent rolls always stocked in my childhood home, ready to be transformed into hurried dinners or unexpected snacks. Rolling pepperoni and mozzarella sticks into those buttery triangles felt like the kind of kitchen alchemy that combines nostalgia and convenience.
By the end of the night, those crescents were the clear winner. I discovered that using a warm, homemade marinara for dipping added that extra touch which felt like a comforting, Italian-esque hug. While chatting with friends over rounds of charades, I offered chef-y advice: don’t forget to brush with melted butter and sprinkle with Italian seasoning and garlic powder right before baking. It makes the crescents irresistibly aromatic. They were a hit, leading us to break into laughter-filled debates over pizza toppings and lost game points, proving that sometimes, simple joys make the best memories.

  • 4 ounces sliced pepperoni

  • Roll the wide end of the dough triangle to the smaller tip and tuck in the corners. Repeat with the remaining dough triangles.
  • Brush the melted butter over the pizza crescents and sprinkle them with the Italian seasoning and the garlic powder.
  • Bake the pizza crescents until they are golden-brown, about 10-15 minutes.
  • Serve the pizza crescents with the warm marinara sauce.
