Recipe Background

Strawberry Champagne Delight is a festive drink perfect for celebrations, with its fruity and chocolatey notes.
It was my best friend Margo’s bachelorette weekend in Napa Valley, a celebration laced with laughter and a hint of nostalgia. We were nestled in a charming Airbnb with sprawling vineyards just outside our door. That morning, I took charge of creating our signature drink for the weekend, something that could encapsulate the joy and bubbly excitement of Margo’s approaching big day. I always have a stash of chocolate chips handy, and with Margo's love for strawberries, the idea for a Strawberry Champagne Delight was born.
As I dipped Champagne flutes into melted chocolate, then into a colorful array of sprinkles, Margo popped her head into the kitchen, giggling at the rainbow rims. The combination of strawberries blended with the unexpected edge of chocolate vodka was perfect for our sun-dappled afternoon on the terrace. Here’s a little tip—make sure the chocolate sets properly on the rims, giving them a few moments to harden for that satisfying crack when you take a sip.
We raised our glasses, toasted to the past and the future, and relished in the effervescent touch of Champagne that topped each flute. The gleeful clinking of our glasses, the warmth of friendship, and this delightfully quirky drink marked a milestone, capturing memories in every sweet sip. For an extra festive touch, I suggest having sprinkles on hand to add a pop of color that matches the merriment of any occasion.
