Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon butter for greasing the pan
- 1 pound egg noodles
- 1 cup cream-style cottage cheese
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup chives finely chopped
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- Grease a 2–quart baking dish with the butter.
- Bring a pot of salted water to a boil.
- Add the egg noodles to the water and cook to al dente, according to the package directions.
- Transfer the egg noodles from the stove and drain them well.
- In a large bowl, mix the egg noodles, the cottage cheese, the sour cream, the salt, the pepper, and the chives together.
- Pour the noodle mixture into the prepared baking dish.
- Bake until the egg noodles begin to brown and the mixture becomes bubbly, about 30 minutes.
- Transfer the casserole from the oven and allow it to cool for 15 minutes.
