Ingredients
- 2 teaspoons olive oil
- 4 (4-ounce) pork chops bone-in
- salt to taste
- pepper to taste
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 2 teaspoons garlic minced
- 3 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley chopped, for garnish
- lemon wedges to taste, for garnish
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
- In a large oven-safe pan over medium heat, add the oil.
- Season both sides of each of the pork chops with the salt and the pepper.
- Add the seasoned pork chops in a single layer in the hot oil and cook until they are browned, about 4 minutes per side.
- Transfer the browned pork chops to a plate and cover with foil to keep themwarm.
- Melt the butter in the same pan.
- Add the garlic, the brown sugar, and the Italian seasoning to the melted butter and cook, stirring constantly, about 30 seconds.
- Add the browned pork chops to the pan and spoon the butter mixture over them.
- Place the pan in the oven and bake the pork chops until they reach an internal temperature of at least 145 degrees F, about 10-12 minutes.
- Spoon the sauce over the pork chops and then sprinkle with the extra parsley.
- Serve the pork chops garnished with the lemon wedges.
