Recipe Background

Easy Peanut Butter Fudge ties sweetness and warmth with snow-day nostalgia.
The first time I made this easy peanut butter fudge, I was celebrating a snowy day with my kids. We were all bundled up and giggling in our living room, windows frosted with delicate lace-like ice. It was a perfect slice of winter joy, and I wanted to create a treat that matched the moment. Opening my pantry, I spotted a jar of peanut butter—always a staple in our home. Paired with a splash of maple syrup, the idea for this simple fudge came to life.
As we whisked together the ingredients, laughter filled the kitchen. My youngest was in charge of pouring, ensuring not a drop of the sweet syrup went astray. Laying parchment paper across the counter, we layered it with care over the glossy mixture. Together, we pressed down, leaving tiny handprints like signatures on an edible canvas. Ten minutes in the freezer felt like an eternity to eager eyes, but the reward was worth it: a silky, rich treat. A quick knife glide, as my older child eagerly volunteered, made for clean and neat cuts.
Even now, that day inspires a ritual in our house for snowy forecasts—each bite a reminder of spontaneous family fun. It’s a testament to how the simplest moments and ingredients can create lasting memories.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup peanut butter regular or chunky
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup

Directions

  • In a medium bowl, add the peanut butter and the maple syrup and whisk until combined.
  • Evenly pour the peanut butter mixture onto a sheet of parchment paper.
  • Place a second sheet of parchment paper on top of the peanut butter mixture and press down carefully so the peanut butter mixture is evenly flattened to about a 1-1 1/2-inch thickness.
  • Transfer the peanut butter mixture onto a baking sheet and put it in the freezer to harden for at least 10 minutes and up to 8 hours.
  • Transfer the frozen fudge to a cutting board and using a sharp knife, cut it into serving size pieces.
  • Serve.
