Directions
Turn the broiler setting on.
Season the pork chops with the salt, the pepper, and the garlic powder.
In a skillet over medium-high heat, heat the oil until it is hot.
Add the seasoned pork chops to the hot oil and sear them on both sides, until they are golden and reach an internal temperature of 145 degrees F, about 4-5 minutes per side.
Transfer the seared pork chops to a plate.
Reduce the stovetop temperature to medium.
