Lazy Pecan Pie Bars are here for the rescue! These crispy-on-the-outside, moist-on-the-inside squares are basically everything you love about the caramel-y, nutty pecan pie, but without having to exhaust yourself and make a crust. You essentially mix it all together, dump it in a dish, and bake! Easy-peazy. Perfect for holidays or any cool day in between, it makes you wonder why these Lazy Pecan Pie Bars aren't on everyone's dessert rotation?!

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup butter melted
  • 2 cups brown sugar packed
  • 2/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 4 large eggs room temperature
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups pecans chopped
  • confectioners' sugar to taste, for topping

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Pour the melted butter into a 13x9-inch baking pan.
  • In a large bowl, add the brown sugar, the flour, the eggs, the vanilla, the baking soda, and the salt and stir until well-combined.
  • Add the pecans to the brown sugar mixture and stir to combine.
  • Spread the pecan mixture over the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  • Bake the pecan pie bars, about 30-35 minutes.
  • Transfer the pecan pie bars from the oven and immediately dust them with the confectioners' sugar.
  • Let the pecan pie bars cool completely, about 1-2 hours.
  • Cut into bars and serve.
