Ingredients
- 1 box butter pecan cake mix
- 1 can coconut-pecan frosting
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup pecans toasted and chopped
- powdered sugar to taste, for serving
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- Generously grease a 10-inch fluted cake pan.
- In a large bowl, mix the cake mix, the frosting, the water, the vegetable oil, the eggs, and the pecans together.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and bake until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, about 45 minutes.
- Let the cake cool in the pan for 5 minutes.
- Transfer the cake from the pan and let it cool completely on a wire rack.
